Game of thrones, everybody’s favourite TV show is a grand success. This is not only because of the story but also because of the strong characters it has in its folds. In this article, we’ll list down the most bad-ass female characters in the show who had great impact on the story with their presence.
1. Lyanna mormont

Lyanna mormont is the Lady of bear islands. She took to throne after her mother Maege Mormont’s death. Lyanna is the niece of the nights watch’s previous lord commander Jeor Mormont and also the cousin of Ser Jorah mormont. Lyanna mormont is a mere 10 year old kid but possess valour of any other northerner. When Stannis asked for her house’s allegiance, she replied saying that “Bear Island knows no king but the King in the North, whose name is Stark” Lyanna committed her house to king Jon Snow. She was instrumental in Jon snow getting elected as the King in the north after Robb stark. We wish to see more of Lyanna mormont in the final season.

2. Daenerys Targaryen – Khaleesi
Ever since Danereys rose from the ashes with her dragons, there was no stopping her. She has done things only considered legendary. She released all the Unsullied soldiers and inspired them to follow her. Killed all the masters with the help of the unsullied. Freed all the slaves and abolished the fighting pits of Meereen. Weakened the Lannister army by riding Drogon and the dothraki army.
She kills every Khal in the fire and comes out of the fire unburnt thus gaining the confidence of the entire Dothraki army. She now has two dragons, the unsullied, the largest dothraki army making her a formidable successor for queen Cersei.

3. Arya Stark – The super assassin
Arya Stark is by far the most badass character of Game of thrones. She was a live wire right from her childhood. She was not like her elder sister Sansa Stark who always used to dream about her knight in shining armour. Arya has always been a strong, independent character with intelligent decision making. After her father Ned stark’s death, she survived on her own. Later, when she took the decision of joining the no face god, she has travelled to Braavos alone. She completed the training, single handedly started taking revenge. Arya alone has avenged the red wedding by killing the Frey’s and their loyalists. She killed Lord bailesh by herself. She’s so well trained that she’s an equal match to Lady Brienne in combat skills. Winter has come to House Frey and no one even noticed!

4. Cersei Lannister
Queen Cersei! The no nonsense character of all GOT. She always had her hopes high. She was always ambitious, manipulative and ruthless in her approach. She always got what she wanted in one way or the other. She was humiliated, paraded naked in the walk of shame. She made sure everyone responsible for that humiliations suffered similar fate. She also blew the sept of Baelor to make sure all her opposition including the high sparrow, Margaery Tyrell were all dead. She’s the queen sitting on the Iron throne now. She made sure that she’ll go to any extent to protect the throne.

5. Brienne of Tarth
Brienne of Tarth is the lady who defeated the hound in a hand combat. She promised Catelyn stark that she would take care of both her daughters and went out of her way to fulfill that promise. She helped Jaime lannister return to his home after Robb stark cut his hand off. She names her sword quite aptly as Oath keeper. She kills Stannis and gets her revenge for killing Renly Baratheon. The scenes between Tormund and Brienne is altogether a different story!

6. Olenna tyrell
Olenna tyrell is a master strategist. Her moves were unmatched by anyone from the show. Even, Cersei Lannister was clueless on how to counter her strategies. Until her disclosure, everyone was of the opinion that Tyrion lannister was the murderer of king Jeffroy. All thanks to her meticulous planning. She almost succeeded in controlling the Iron throne when she got Joffrey killed and got her granddaughter Margaery Tyrell married to Tommen Baratheon as soon as he became the king of seven kingdoms. She revealed the truth about Jeffroy’s death only after taking poision and going away in her own terms.
