It’s been 21 minutes since the final trailer for Avengers 4: Endgame dropped from Marvel Studios. I have lost count how many times I watched and re-watched it in this short time.
First things first, each of our surviving heroes are now in full flashback mode of their lives. Tony remembers how he escaped that cave in his Mark I suit and says that it feels almost 1000 years ago. Yes Tony, we agree it has been a long journey.
Thor remembers his father in a still to be destroyed Asgard, while Clint ‘Hawkeye’ Barton is seen teaching his daughter how to flex that bow arm, Steve Rogers goes back to his pre-serum days and then flashes to the moment when he carried Peggy Carter’s coffin on his shoulders.
It’s been a long journey where we have risen with our superheroes, fallen down dark paths and wormholes, visited multiple planets and seen serious battles fought for the safety and sanctity of mother earth.
But like Doctor Strange exclaimed, we are in the ENDGAME now and the war we are fighting is on a universal front. The remaining heroes are gearing up for the big battle to come with Thanos. We are given a glimpse of the ‘space suits’ that all of them are going to wear, the ones which had come up in several fan theories and toy stores.
The video has raised several questions and goosebumps on me. Did they show Ant-Man just escaping the Quantum Realm? What about Hawkeye’s new haircut, is it in alignment with his Ronin mode? Will Tony break his promise of ‘No More Surprises’ to Pepper Potts and pull off one last ‘Surprise’?
