It is confirmed. One of the most popular characters which has undergone a tremendous transition in the past 7 seasons is going to be killed in the 1st episode of season 8.
Yes, you guessed it right. It is Tyrion Lannister, the most popular imp of westeros that is going to get killed.
The writers of the show David Benioff and D.B.Weiss have confirmed that Tyrion Lannister is going to be killed by Daenerys in the first episode. The internet is going crazy about this spoiler. Many fans of Tyrion are planning a mass protest in front of the Game of thrones premiere arena.
In the 7th episode of last season, all the major characters meet at dragonpit for getting a truce. While Cersei was unconvinced during the meet, Tyrion requests for a personal meeting with Cersei. We were never shown the intricate details of the meeting. After the meeting with Tyrion, Cersei reluctantly agrees for a truce.
It can be safely deduced that this private meeting between Tyrion and Cersei led to this pact. If not for this, Cersei would have Tyrion killed by the mountain as she still blames him for the death of her son and father. The only reason Tyrion’s alive is because Cersei still has some work to be done by him.
In all probability, Tyrion made a deal with Cersei to betray Daenerys and is going to double cross the mother of dragons.
With all the three children of Cersei dead and she being pregnant is the reason for Tyrion’s soft corner towards Cersei. Tyrion was convinced that if he doesn’t interfere, the life of Cersei and her unborn child would be under threat. So, he made a pact with Cersei that he would kill Daenerys thereby removing the threat to the throne in return for a truce.
Also, Tyrion doesn’t approve of the relation between Jon snow and Danny. He believes that this relations would have widespread consequences in the fight of succession to the throne.
Daenerys finds out about this treason through Jaime Lannister and sentences Tyrion to his death. It won’t be a public execution like that of Ned stark’s. Tyrion would most probably be beheaded by Arya stark just like she did with Lord baelish.
Oh, and most importantly, we are kidding. The show writers have not confirmed this.
It’s April Fool’s Day today so we thought we will play a prank on you guys (this was my editor’s idea, I swear). Please take our attempt at humour in a light heart.
