The show’s official Twitter account confirmed the news on Friday, July 31, with a tweet that read: “The heist comes to an end. #LaCasaDePape
Money Heist’s leading star Alvaro Morte shared a snap of the heist group’s masks on Instagram with the caption: “It looks like we are coming to an end… #LCDP5.”
Season five will consist of 10 final episodes to wrap up the series as well as a few newcomers being thrown into the action.
Shooting is set to begin soon in Spain, Denmark, and Portugal, with actors Miguel Ángel Silvestre, a Netflix alum of “Narcos” and “Sense8,” and Patrick Criado, most recently in Movistar Plus’ most-viewed original series “The Invisible Line,” joining the established and now iconic cast featuring Úrsula Coberó (Tokyo), Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Itziar Ituño (Lisbon) and Pedro Alonso (Berlin) among others.
