PUBG MOBILE A BREAKTHROUGH IN INDIAN ESPORTS

If you are already playing PUBG Mobile (Player’s Unknown Battleground Mobile) from the day of its release, which is from 9th February 2018, then by now, you might have known regarding the game’s in-game features, updates, items, graphics, gameplay, etc. But if you are here searching for its Breakthrough in the Indian Gaming Industry, then I must tell you that it is the only game that got its popularity quickly in this industry in India. Let me tell you briefly about its success in the Indian Community. 

As for those who have never played this game before or have just started, this game must know that this is a Battle Royal game were 100 players drop on a Battle Ground at their respective drop locations and survive for the #1 spot for WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER. To win the match, they need to hunt down the enemies hiding in houses, bushes, or in the grass. You are allowed to use any means possible to win the matches as u are allowed to use guns as Pistols (P18C, Skorpion), Throwables (Grenade, Smoke Grenade), Melee (Pan, Machete), Sub Machine Guns(Uzi, Ump45), Assault Rifles(Groza, M416), Sniper Rifles (Kar98, Mini14, Slr, Awm), Machine Gun (Dp28, M249) and other special in-game features. The graphics quality in this game is excellent and can be changed from Smooth to HDR. The frame rate can also be switched between Low and Extreme as per the requirement of the phone. Now the main thing that requires this game to run smoothly is the device having a minimum of 6gb Ram and at least with 700 series Processor with Adreno 640 GPU. With every update, the game is getting enhancement in its graphics quality and as well as in its gameplay. So, to play this game, one must have the given Minimum Requirement fulfilled. 

The Breakthrough in Indian Esports .

Now, Let me tell you about what was the main reason and who were the people regarding the game’s success and its domination until now in this growing industry. Pubg mobile after having their game in Indian servers, they realized that yet they had a low number of downloads and to dominate in this industry, they decided to roll out its first-ever Gaming Tournament in India, which was known as PMIS 2019( Pubg Mobile India Series 2019). Yet before this big stage event, the game was played by many upcoming streamers as Mortal knew as (SOUL MORTAL), Dynamo Gaming, etc. were among the ones who gave their best and showed the next generation that how great this game was and how can one benefit from it. But PUBG, who knew how great its future was in India, decided to roll out the PMIS event, and everything changed from that day.

PMIS 2019 took place when the eSports scenario in India was still growing. At the time, big names like TSM-Entity, Fnatic, and others were not around in the Indian Gaming . There was a single name in everyone’s mind, one popular name which increased the PMIS 2019 traffic to the next level. It was Soul Mortal aka Naman Mathur. He was the only reason behind the success of PMIS 2019 and as his team SOUL lifted the Title on Final Day, PubgM also went through the roof as everyone started to download and grind in it. Every player now started to play this game for fun as others took it seriously and started playing it competitively. As this game was never for low end devices it suffered a lot in its initial stages but now it has gained its share of users. Everyone had an idea that PubgM would die as it would never get recognition but they had other plans for it. 

PMIT (Pubg Mobile India Tour) 

July 1, 2019, marks the day when every player competed in this four-month-long affair and fought for this biggest esports event attempted in the country. The prize pool set was of 1.5 crores, which resulted in the vast numbers of registrations from the gaming community. Now at this moment, everyone and even the analyst also predicted that soon the Indian Esports Community has started taking shape and will prosper as time passes by. As this big event ended on October 20, this caught the sights of many Journals, Media, Social Platforms, and Indian Esports peacefully drifted towards the right path. 

Yet Pubg has yet to offer to the Indian Community it started its enrollment for the even better tournament for the year it has it is first-ever biggest World Wide event is known as PMCO FALL SPLIT 2019…

PMCO FALL SPLIT 2019 had its participants register for its regional finals and then qualify for the major tournament with a prize pool of 2.5 million dollar USD. Yet again, many new teams signed up for the tournament Team SouL,  TeamIND, Indian Tigers, Entity Gaming, GodLike, 8bit, which now have been known as the big teams for the upcoming event of 2020.

With this Team Soul and Entity Gaming became among the teams to qualify for the Event. 

With PUBGM making its mark in Indian Gaming Community, it paved its path and now is termed as the #1 game in India to Grind for proper Esports Career. In 2020 it came with  PMSC (PUBG MOBILE STAR CHALLENGE) for its content creators and then PMWL (PUBG MOBILE WORLD LEAGUE) with PMPL (PUBG MOBILE PRO LEAGUE) as its regional qualifiers.

I think this game has really proven its worth in this community and really has much to give in upcoming years and has been an asset in the BREAKTHROUGH OF ESPORTS IN INDIAN GAMING COMMUNITY.
