When I was a kid, I always loved playing video games, not very high-end games, but most racing games of which Road Rash was my favorite. As I entered my Btech second year, I purchased my first android mobile and started playing pubg mobile frequently, which indulged me entirely into this original and beautiful game.
Before playing on mobile, I played this game on my PC using an emulator, and the transition from PC to mobile was difficult as all the controls were different. Moving the player at the same time shooting was difficult for me, but a lot of practice helped me to become a good player but not a pro. The main reason pubg mobile became a hit is because of an increase in the purchase of android phones in the past two years, where mobiles with different software specifications, the frame rate, and hardware features like more capacity rams and better storage. So the majority of mobile users have installed the game from play store and apple store as the game launched on these digital platforms around 2018. Now pubg mobile supported the gameplay on the majority of phones, which raised the number of downloads of this game.
Now coming to the details of the game, the goal of the game itself is cool and simple. The last man standing in this shooting arena is the one who can have his “chicken dinner” after winning the game, which shown on screen as “Winner winner Chicken Dinner.”Now its become the dream slogan of all the pubg players. So the idea of the game is the survival of the fittest, the one who survives till the last winner.
All players can connect with their Facebook friends and start playing with them. You can play as a single player like solo vs. squad by turning off the auto-matching option in the arena settings or play duo with one of your friends or with a complete team that consists of 4 players, which is the maximum limit for a team. Once the player selected, the map and game start with 100 players, including your squad, All the players will be spawned on an island, and some time is given for the players to mark the landing location on the map and follow a particular Player on your team for a parachute landing. And once you land…that’s it! It’s up to you how you play and use your tactics to defeat the adrenaline rushing enemies and survive till the end with your team.
What grabbed my attention towards playing this game is because of its wide range of features and different game modes and maps. To have a good experience of this game, players generally play the classic mode, and the classic mode consists of three routes: Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi. Where Miramar map is like you stranded on a desert landscape with all cliffs and terrains good for sniping, then comes Sanhok map, which gives you a feel like you are in Dwayne johnson’s Jumanji movie with all greenery with wild grass and foggy atmosphere just like in a jungle. This map is suitable for playing like a snake, by hiding in the never-ending bushes or camouflaging with the surroundings waiting for the enemies and them ambushing them. The last map is the Vikendi map which is always showered by snow.
The game consists of a wide range of modes, which makes it further interesting to play. The different modes are Classic, Arcade, Arena, and Paylab. Not everyone likes the same mode, so by offering these different modes gives the player options to select his/her favorite mode. While classic is an extended mode which takes you 30 min to play if you stay till the last, you will win. While arcade is a short time play like around 8 minutes, which further consists of quick matches. Arcade mode gives the player flexibility of having fun at the same time as well as allowing him to play more small games rather than playing a few long matches, thereby saving the charge of the phone.
And the next mode is my favorite and the most played mode, which is the TDM(Team DeathMatch), which played between two teams. This mode gives the player the flexibility to chose his/her favorite weapon, and even levels are given to each weapon. As the level of each weapon increases, then different attachments unlocks like scopes, vertical grips, suppressors, etc.
The central part of this game is communicating with your teammates. So pubg mobile enables the mic option for you so that you can tell the strategy for the gameplay and plot plans. The mute option is also available if you want to mute a particular player. You can also set the speaker to the world so that you can even talk to the opponents.
In inventory, the player can choose all the details of your game avatar or character. You can customize his clothes, vests, helmets, and shoes according to your choice. Then you have the weapon sub-inventory, which consists of all the types of weapons like AR, Bolt action rifles, shotguns, SMG, etc. along with a variety of skins that boosts the player’s interest.
All the players will get the real feel while firing the weapons and thats the most beautiful thing about it.
The main reason for me still playing pubg mobile till date is because of its consistent updates.
All the updates till now were outstanding except the infection mode, which they added and removed as it didn’t get good appreciation. The only thing I hate is that they have removed the zombie mode, and I am proud to say that I am the master of that mode.
User Interface is the essential feature; the game with a lousy user interface will never be famous. In my opinion, pubg mobile has the best interface, right from the icon size, the graphics which ranges from smooth to HD depending on the frame rate of the phone and other wide variety of icons which are user friendly. The graphic images of the weapons, the firing effects are fantastic and realistic. So this game completely stands out according to me in terms of user experience.
