Cable Girls: Plot
The series tells of how the lives of four young women change after they start working for a telecommunication company which offers them decent pay and independence. The show reveals the hardships that working women faced in 1920s Spain, and especially the severe restrictions on the rights of Spanish women in a male-dominated society.
In this final season, we return to the story seven months later, in a Spain ruled by the dictatorship. Lidia suffers revenge from Carmen on the Correction Center, while Francisco and her friends desperately look for her. Their story has undoubtedly marked a before and after for Netflix in Spain. Under the motto “It’s not for us, it’s for all of us”, this tale of friendship and commitment among women has conquered the worldwide audience.
