Have you heard about ‘Haster’ and Tumbbad

Hastar is the first and most beloved son of Goddess Earth. Haster is greedy for all the goddess’s gold and food. Hastar is a fallen deity from the film Tumbbad.

With reference to the film Tumbbad, Haster was the first son of Goddess Earth who gave birth to 160 million Gods. Since Haster was the first, he was the beloved son of the Goddess. The Goddess had lots of gold and food. He was greedy and took all the wealth from the Goddess. Before he could capture the food, other Gods made him go away.

For protecting Haster, Mother Goddess pulled him back to her womb. Also Goddess Earth was cursed to be hungry. Also, his existence was removed from all the ancient history texts and references as a punishment for this act. He was abandoned by everyone. But the village Thumbadd started to worship Haster for the immense wealth with him. As a result, a non-stop rain started to fall over Thumbadd.

The movie evolved with the greed of several people to take gold from Haster. It follows the story of his search for a hidden treasure in the 20th century British India village of Tumbbad, Maharashtra.

Tumbbad is a 2018 Indian horror film directed by Rahi Anil Barve and created by Anand Gandhi. It was Written by Barve, Prasad, Mitesh Shah and Anand Gandhi. The film was produced by Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah and Amita Shah. Starring Sohum Shah in the lead role as Vinayak Rao, Barve began writing the script based on a story a friend had told him about in 1993, by Marathi writer Narayan Dharap.
