The Orville is an American science fiction comedy-drama television series created by and starring Seth MacFarlane as series protagonist Ed Mercer, an officer in the Planetary Union’s line of exploratory space vessels in the 25th century.
Inspired by several science-fiction sources, but mainly the original Star Trek as well as its Next Generation successor, both of which it heavily parodies and homages, the show follows the crew of the starship USS Orville on their episodic adventures.
The Orville Season 3: Release Date
Two seasons have aired, 2017–2018 and 2018–2019, and a third is scheduled to air on Hulu in late 2020. The Orville is a joint production by Fuzzy Door Productions and 20th Century Fox Television. Season 3 is moving exclusively to Hulu, and it will be released later this year. The Orville Season 3 is expected to be released on Hulu in October 2020. The official release date is yet to be revealed, we will update you for the same.
The Orville Season 3: Episodes
The upcoming season will be a bit shorter compared to others. The Orville Season 3 will have a total of 11 episodes, which will air on Hulu streaming platform on a weekly basis. What more is that each episode of the third season will have 12 to 15 minutes more air time than the previous season.
The first season The Orville had a total of 12 episodes, and the second had a total of 14 episodes, and the third one will have a total of 11 episodes. However, the extra 12 to 15 minutes more air time per episode will make up for the less episodes
