This year has been a roller coaster ride, and most of it has been downhill, but if there is something that has given us satisfaction, it is the mind-blowing anime that have come out this year! In this article, I will be listing the new anime and not the ones whose sequels have come out. Although there have been many good releases but this is a list of the best 5 of them!
5. BNA: Brand New Animal
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Super Power
Beastmen- a species that can change shape due to their genetic “Beast Factor” has been at odds with humans, and the constant conflict has forced the Beastmen into hiding. Anima City provides refuge to the outcasts to live a life free form human interference.
Michiru Kagemori, a human who suddenly turned into a tanuki, finds herself at the shores of the Beastmen heaven during the celebrations of the town’s 10th anniversary. But she soon realizes that the grasses looked way greener than it was and witnessed an explosion in the city square! Following this occurrence, she comes in contact with Shirou Ogami, a mighty wolf, and protector of the Beastmen. Together they trail the perpetrators of the bombing while discovering Michiru’s extraordinary abilities. What do you think the future holds for them?
4. My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!

Being the central character in an adventurous world is everyone’s dream, but what if bad luck hits you hard? Well, then you are incarnated as an antagonist. After regaining the memories of her past life, our protagonist realizes that she is reborn in the world of the game she used to play -Fortune lover- as the main antagonist -Katarina Claes- whose only fate is death. Using her experience with the game, she tries to change her impending fate while avoiding death and affecting the beings around her not as a heroine, but as a Villainess!
3. Tower of God
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy
A story of a Tower that summons chosen people to grant them their deepest desires. These people are called “Regulars” and be it money, love, fame or power; everything is for them, for those who can reach the top of the Tower.
The world Bam is full of darkness as he spends his years inside a cave. It changes when Rachel enters his life and tells him about the outside world. They become close friends. Then his world turns again when Rachel says to him that she has to climb the Tower. But Bam can’t let his light go and decides to follow her, and a miracle occurs; he opened the gates of the Tower by himself. Thus begins the journey of Bam, the “irregular.”
2. Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!
Genre: Adventure, Comedy
This anime starts with the story of a girl with a skill for doodling and an unruly imagination -Midori Asakusa- and her practical friend -Sayaka Kanamori, who “save” the young model Tsubame Misuzaki from her overprotective bodyguard. Asakusa and Misuzaki instantly develop a connection because of their passion for animation and art. Asakusa has a neck in backgrounds and settings, and Misuzaki loves drawing humans. Sensing a commercial opportunity, Kanamori suggests them to start an animation club disguised as a motion picture club and thus begins the trio’s journey of producing an animation. A lighthearted comedy delivered beautifully is a must watch!
1. Dorohedoro
Genre: Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Horror
Hole is an unlawful and disorderly district where death is normal for the weak, and preying on the week is typical for the strong. It is dominated by Magic users who think of the residents to be nothing more than test subjects. In this Hole, there is one who challenges the authority of the race occupying the top, Kaiman. He is a reptile and human mix who hunts the magicians on a quest for answers accompanied by his immunity to magic and a pair of blades. This anime has a nice blend of comedy and horror
