One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 3 begins where the second one ended. Fubuki is still at Saitama’s apartment and King is still discussing video games with him when Charanko, a disciple of the S-Class hero Silver Fang visits them.
He tells Genos that his master kicked him out of the dojo for not giving it his all and shut it down. Charanko is perplexed by his master’s harshness and asks Genos and Saitama if there was some method in his madness.
Genos briefs him on how Garou, a former pupil of Silverfang was hunting down heroes. Charanko is immediately disappointed by the fact that he was holding his master back and vows to hunt down the guy himself.
Meanwhile, Silver-Fang enlists the help of his brother to track down and hunt his former pupil, Garou.
One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 3: Garou the Hero-Hunter vs S-Class
Garou, the human monster goes on beating up heroes until he faces the S-Class hero, Tank Top Master. With his ability to move at incredible speeds and guess his opponent’s move beforehand, he pulverizes the hero completely.
When Class C Hero Mumen Rider tries to stop Garou, he beats him up mercilessly. Charanko watches everything from behind a bush and tries to fight Garou. The result is obviously unfavorable for Charanko and he ends up in a hospital wing along with the other heroes.
One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 3: The Martial Arts Tournament
Saitama visits Charanko the next day with a bunch of bananas. After hearing his story, Saitama decides to take on Garou. In order to do that, he decides to get a feel of martial arts.
Immediately, Charanko offers him a ticket for a martial arts tournament and asks him to be a spectator. However, Saitama decides to participate in the tournament after listening to Tank Top Master’s account on how Garou reads opponents’ moves and attacks effortlessly.
One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 3: Saitama encounters Garou
Garou meets a kid by chance and asks to borrow his Hero Registry book. He learns that an A-Class hero would be present at a bar and decides to beat him up. The A-Class hero, Golden Ball manages to injure Garou’s leg but stands no match against him even when another A-class hero called Spring Mustachio joins him in the fight.
Saitama goes shopping while Garou runs into him after his decisive victory against the heroes. He mistakes Saitama to be his pursuer and hits him with a chop to his shoulder. Saitama on the other hand, doesn’t recognize Garou and hits him back with such force that he is knocked out completely.
Towards the end of the episode, we see Saitama purchasing a red wig from a shop to impersonate Charanko at the tournament.
