Season 8 Theme and Release Date
Season 8 of Call of Duty: Mobile is rumored to be called ‘Apocalypse Day‘. The end of the world seems to be the theme that developers are aiming at for this season. The season will be released on 11th July. The battle pass for season 7 expires on 10th July following which the new season will be revealed.
New Map in Season8
Season 8 will bring in a new map called ‘Highrise‘. The map would contain tall building paving the way for some high caliber sniper wars. Highrise is a multiplayer map that is situated in a construction site including archetypal cranes, a rooftop helipad, and underground hallways. This map was a huge fan favorite in Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty: Mobile’s official twitter has since confirmed this leak and has put out a trailer for the map.
New Battle Pass
Season 8 will bring in a brand new Battle Pass to its players. If rumors are to be true, this battle pass would contain more characters than ever before. The Battle Pass is called ‘The Forge‘. The battle pass would be available from 13th July. Leaks suggest that there would be 4 new characters in this Batte Pass. The game would inaugurate the arrival of Tank Dempsey, Krueger, Prophet, and Reaper. The battle pass would also present the players with a unique skin for weapons. The immensely used AK117 would receive a skin called AK117 Kit Bag.
New Weapon in Season 8
Season 8 will supposedly bring the famous gun ‘Scar H‘ from its other Call of Duty Games to its mobile game. It may be called Scar-H or DR-H. The gun is an assault rifle with a medium fire rate and thus highly useful in medium to short range.
New Scorestreak
Activision has released a gameplay video featuring the new scorestreak which will be available in the next season. ‘Katana‘ is a sharp warrior sword that would enable players to kill their enemies with one swing of the blade. It will be very tricky to use as it would require players to close in on enemies. Moreover, it will entitle players to be more aggressive in season 8. Looks exciting!
