The story opens ten years after the events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith,” in which Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi trainee, Anakin Skywalker. As a result of Anakin’s transformation into the wicked Sith Lord Darth Vader, Obi-Wan is left to pick up the pieces.
Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie all have starring roles in the new series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Joby Harold not only wrote the series, but he also directed it. The series was produced by Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and Joby Harold under Luca Films. Disney+Hotstar was the company that backed the series.
