The fourth Matrix movie, The Matrix Resurrections, will be released on Prime Video in India on May 6. It stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, and opened in theaters across the country on December 22, 2021. Prime Video announced the date of the digital release of the movie on its official Twitter page on Thursday.In a reference to the iconic scene from the first film in the franchise, ‘The Matrix’, streamer Prime Video announced that ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ will be released on their platform on May 12 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is written and directed by Lana Wachowski, who along with her sister Lilly Wachowski had helmed the previous three movies in the series — ‘The Matrix’ (1999), ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ and ‘The Matrix Revolutions’, all released in 2003.
The Matrix Resurrections is the sequel to The Matrix Revolution (2003). In this latest installment, Part 4, Neo (Reeves) didn’t die and lives a normal life as Thomas Anderson in San Francisco. Doctor prescribes him some medicines. But things change again when unexpected events start taking place. Priyanka Chopra is also playing a lead role in this Hollywood movie. Lana Wachowski has directed this movie.
