During Thor Ragnarok, we saw the Hulk staying in his Hulk form for 2 years, to the point where he even learned how to communicate and control his anger. He went from a green monster that had to be pacified for his danger to subside to a fighter that only used his skills when necessary. Later, in Avengers Infinity War, we see the Hulk come face to face with Thanos only to lose. After this, the Hulk loses some of his confidence and does not make an appearance again for the rest of the movie. We do see Bruce Banner and the Hulk communicate a little bit, but that’s all that happens.
The Avengers Endgame posters have shown the Hulk in brand new avatar, with a proper black Avengers suit. This means two things – the first is that the Hulk will be back. The second is that he may be a bit different from the big green guy that we remember. This brings us to Professor Hulk.
Professor Hulk is a character in the comic books that combines the traits of Bruce Banner and the Hulk. So, high level intelligence as well as brute force. Now that would be a really formidable character that could turn things around for the Avengers, post the destruction they saw during the Infinity War. Although a total transition to Professor Hulk may seem a bit fast, we are sure we will see some level of merging between the two characters. Perhaps the Hulk will continue to evolve during the remaining phases of the Avengers, once the Infinity Saga is over.
For now, we are really excited to see the Hulk back in form again and can’t wait to see what else he will bring to the table. There is a chance that professor Hulk may occur due to some formula made by Bruce Banner in his lab. That can explain a total merging of the characters.
